Microsoft is developing there next OS in such a way that it will run on any device whether it's a laptop, PC, tablet, mobile regardless of the underlying hardware.If this is true then its going to give Microsoft an advantage over competing platforms like android and Apple.At the D9 conference Steve Sinofsky, President of Windows and Windows Live at Microsoft, gave the first look at the next version of Windows, currently "codenamed" Windows 8. It consist of a new touch user interface designed for touch computers. Microsoft describes the new interface as "touch first" but it'll work with a mouse and a keyboard also
