How Microsoft makes money from android devices ?

The new tech mantra is to hold patents and sue people who breach into your space, ultimately get lot of money for doing nothing. Microsoft makes more money from Android than its own Windows mobile platforms.

 

Microsoft has forced Android vendors like HTC, Velocity Micro, General Dynamics, Wistron and Onkyo Corp to pay royalties for using Android in there systems.

Microsoft's is fighting patent infringement claims in court with dozens of Android vendors like Motorola, Samsung, Barnes & Noble for dozen of patents that Android devices violates.
