Android surge new height [4.4% per week]

 Android chief Andy Rubin had announced that there are now over 500,000 Android devices activated every day, and it's growing at 4.4% per week where as Apple sells 366,000 iOS devices per day

There are huge number of new Android tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab, Acer Iconia, Motorola Xoom runs on 3.x Honeycomb version which is the latest Android OS. Android devices holds a market share close to 50 %

 

Milestones reached by android are over 100 million Android devices, more than 36 manufacturers and 215 different networks, more that 200,000 apps, 400 different Android devices currently on sale in 112 countries
